Ibrahim Mahama's Damang Gold Mine Limited's logo has poped up on social media days after its won the bid to operationalise the mine from the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
The company belonging to Ibrahim Mahama, a borther of President Mahama has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to operations in the area, highlighting ongoing efforts to drive development and transform Damang into a modern mining township.
The company, also a subsidiary of Engineers and Planners indicated that its continued presence is not only focused on gold production but also on contributing to socio-economic growth within the host community.
Officials say investments in infrastructure, employment, and local development projects are central to the company’s vision of building a sustainable and thriving township around its operations.
The initiative is expected to improve living standards, create jobs, and enhance economic opportunities for residents in Damang and surrounding communities.
Damang Gold Mine Lmited emphasised that it remains committed to responsible mining practices while partnering with stakeholders to ensure long-term benefits for the area.
