M&G Brokers merges with OLEA Group

Insurance Brokerage firm M&G Brokers Company Limited, now OLEA M&G Insurance Brokers, has assured the public that it will provide seamless insurance solutions to satisfy the needs of customers after a successful merger with pan-African brokerage network, Olea Insurance Solutions.
The merger was announced at the company’s 50th-anniversary celebration on Thursday, 12 December 2019.
Speaking to Class Business, the Managing Director of OLEA M&G Insurance Brokers, Mr Stephen Kwarteng Yeboah said the partnership has come at an opportune time to give customers access to a global network that will deliver world-class policies.
According to Mr Kwarteng Yeboah, “What we have done is to join the network so that if you go to Ivory Coast, you go to Benin, you go to the 20 countries that we mentioned, you will be dealing with one entity, OLEA.
“So, it puts us in a position for us to work even with the multinational broking firms like Marsh, Gallagher, Lockton”, adding: “Our clients should be looking for seamless solutions to their insurance broking, they get access to the best international policies because we benchmark not only in the local mark, we benchmark with best practices in the world…”
For this part, the Executive Chairman of OLEA Group, Olivier Dubois, said Ghana remains a key focus for the OLEA Group, as it seeks to increase its footprints on the African continent.
He tells Class Business the partnership will add more value to OLEA M&G to support more clients in the country. “As we launched OLEA with a pan-African strategy, from the very beginning of our story, Ghana was at the heart of the project. We wanted to have a strong presence in Francophone Africa, of course, but also in English-speaking Africa; and Kenya and Ghana were the two major countries on which we were focusing.”
