March inflation rises to 25.8% from 23.2% in February

Inflation for March has risen to 25.8 percent, up from the 23.2 percent recorded in February 2024, marking a 2.6 percentage point increase.

Notably, the food inflation rate has also experienced a significant uptick, climbing from 27.0 percent in February to 29.6 percent in March.

In contrast, non-food inflation for March was reported at 22.6 percent.

This data was revealed by Government Statistician Professor Samuel Kobina Annim on Wednesday, April 10.

"In March 2024, the inflation rate reached 25.8 percent, representing a year-on-year increase compared to the 23.2 percent recorded in February 2024. This indicates a notable surge in inflation by 2.6 percentage points, rising from 23.2 percent to 25.8 percent for March 2024," he told journalists.
