PURC demands dumsor timetable from ECG by March 27

The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission is demanding a load management timetable to be published by the Electricity Company of Ghana in respect of outages attributed by the power distributor to 630 overloaded transformers during peak hours.
The utilities sector regulator wants "load management timetable corresponding with the timelines and duration for each transformer injection".
Additionally, it wants ratings and current loadings of the overloaded distribution transformers.
It has also requested the GPS location of all overloaded distribution transformers.
Furthermore, it also wants the ratings of the new transformers to be installed in each location as well as the timelines and duration for injection of transformers for each location.
The Commission is also demanding evidence of the publication of a load management timetable.
The timetable, the PURC ordered, must be published by 27 March 2024.
