SIC Insurance MD calls for innovation and collaboration to ensure insurance growth

The Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, Mr. James Agyenim-Boateng, has emphasised the importance of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning as key drivers of growth within Ghana’s insurance industry.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Regal Reinsurance Training in Accra on Wednesday, Mr. Agyenim-Boateng highlighted the value of training programmes in strengthening the sector.
He noted that such initiatives not only benefit individual institutions but also contribute to building a more resilient and competitive insurance ecosystem across the market.
“At SIC, our promises are sacred, and we believe the future of insurance lies in collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning,” he said.
“We also recognise the critical role of reinsurance—not just as a financial tool, but as a cornerstone of stability, sustainability, and confidence in our industry.”
Encouraging the trainees, he urged them to apply the knowledge gained and share it with others, while also challenging outdated assumptions and fostering smarter partnerships.
“Let me reaffirm SIC’s commitment to supporting initiatives that raise industry standards, strengthen local capacity, and deepen cooperation within the insurance and reinsurance community,” Mr. Agyenim-Boateng added.
