The Ministry of Works and Housing has announced the receipt of five bids for the completion of over 1,500 unfinished units of the Saglemi Housing project.

An independent entity will be selected to evaluate these bids, ensuring a transparent process in securing a partner for the project.

Sector Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah confirmed that the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) would assist in selecting an independent evaluation entity on Wednesday, 10 July 2024.

This entity will be tasked with assessing the five bids and submitting a report to the government.

"We have received five bids. From today, we have already requested the Public Procurement Authority to help us select an independent evaluation entity," Mr. Oppong Nkrumah informed the media.

"I do understand that about four organisations have been pre-qualified by the Public Procurement Authority, out of which we will select one."

He outlined the timeline for the evaluation process, stating: "On Wednesday, as I mentioned, we will select the independent evaluation entity and we will hand these bids to the independent evaluation entity.”

Mr. Oppong Nkrumah added: “According to our work programme, within seven days we are expecting to receive the revert from the independent evaluation entity, which will tell us which of these five bidders is the preferred bidder."
