UE/R: Commercial rice farmers plead for storage facilities in Builsa South District

Some commercial rice farmers numbering over a hundred in the Builsa South District of the Upper East Region are calling on the government to as a matter of urgency provide them with storage facilities for their farm produce.
Secretary to the farmers Daniel Atulik Abayaskadina raised these concerns while speaking in an interview with Class 91.3 FM's Upper East Regional correspondence, Moses Apiah.
The farmers including the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, say the district only has three storage facilities, which are not enough for the quantity of rice being produced this year.
The highly worried farmers added that storage facilities, combined harvesters and pricing continued to be a challenge confronting their activities.
