YEA, MoFA launcheS phase 2 of youth in agric on Wednesday

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), in collaboration with the Agriculture Ministry, will next week launch the Youth in Agric initiative, aimed at making farming attractive to the youth and also making Ghana food sufficient.
The module is under the Planting for Food and Jobs phase 2.
Under this module, the recruited youth get five (5) acres of land, seedlings, fertiliser and other farm inputs free to start farming and will be supervised by an aggregator – an official verified and certified by the Agric Ministry to guide farmers.
The beneficiaries will be given training in how to use technology in farming and also to apply best farm practices.
