APN partners with Africa Monologue Challenge to boost creative economy under AfCFTA

The Africa Prosperity Network (APN) has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding with the Africa Monologue Challenge (AMC), forming a strategic alliance aimed at propelling Africa’s creative economy as a catalyst for economic integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The partnership, announced in Accra, positions APN as the Strategic Partner for AMC’s high-profile Pan-African productions, including Season 3 of the Africa Monologue Challenge reality series, a Pan-African feature film, and a documentary on the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
According to APN’s CEO, Sidig Eltoum, the collaboration is part of a broader mission to harness Africa’s storytelling potential as a vehicle for economic transformation and regional unity.
“This partnership embodies our commitment to positioning Africa's creative economy as a driving force for prosperity and integration,” Eltoum said.
“By aligning with AMC, we are investing not just in entertainment, but in Africa’s future narrative.”
The partnership will deliver three major projects:
AMC Season 3: A Pan-African reality TV competition to be hosted in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, spotlighting talent and cultural richness from across the continent.
AMC Pan-African Feature Film: A cinematic project to be filmed across Uganda and six other African countries, with post-production to be completed in South Africa.
AU Agenda 2063 Documentary: A collaborative initiative with the African Union Commission aimed at raising awareness about the AU’s long-term development vision.
APN will use its vast continental network to connect AMC with key policymakers, ministries of trade, culture, and information, while facilitating fundraising with institutions such as Afrexim Bank.
AMC, led by MK Casting in partnership with the African Chamber of Content Producers and the National Film Authority of Ghana, brings strong credentials in creative production and international distribution, with links to streaming giants like Netflix and Prime Video.
Beyond content production, the partnership will promote cultural diplomacy and advocate for policy alignment among AfCFTA member states to support Africa’s burgeoning creative sector.
APN will also amplify AMC’s reach through its digital platforms and events network.
“This collaboration is a model for how Africa’s creative industries can drive economic integration while preserving our cultural identity,” said Mawuko Kuadzi, CEO of the Africa Monologue Challenge.
As part of the agreement, APN will gain Pan-African visibility across all AMC productions, including broadcast and streaming platforms, film festivals, and diplomatic screenings.
The organisation also secures a 2% equity stake in net receipts from AMC projects, highlighting the economic viability of Africa’s creative sector.
