Accra hosts ‘December in Ghana’ concert as global artistes take the stage at Black Star Square
Accra is set to come alive on December 26 as the “December in Ghana: The World’s Stage” concert takes centre stage at the Black Star Square, celebrating culture, music and identity as part of the Black Star Experience.
The event, which forms part of Ghana’s growing December tourism and cultural calendar of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), will bring together some of Africa’s most influential music stars for a night of live performances and cultural expression.
Headlining the concert are Black Sherif, Nigerian superstar Tiwa Savage, King Promise, Gyakie and Amaarae, alongside other artistes expected to be announced.
Organisers GTA say the event is designed to showcase Ghana’s cultural influence while reinforcing the country’s position as a global hub for music and creative arts.
Billed under the theme “Where music meets identity,” the concert aims to offer both locals and visitors an immersive cultural experience that blends sound, heritage and modern African creativity.
The event will take place at the historic Black Star Square in Accra, a symbolic venue associated with Ghana’s independence and Pan-African identity.
Tickets are available via short code 7141#.
“December in Ghana” has, in recent years, evolved into an international attraction, drawing thousands of visitors from across the African diaspora and beyond.
Organisers say this year’s concert will further cement Ghana’s reputation as a leading destination for cultural tourism during the festive season.
