Stella Aba Seal says ministry is a calling, not a skill, as she returns from break with New music
Ghanaian gospel icon Stella Aba Seal has reaffirmed that her music ministry is a divine calling, not something she learned or forced herself into.
Speaking in an interview with P.Kay on Journey to Heaven on Accra-based No.1 FM, she shared how she sustained her ministry even while she was abroad.
When asked by the host how she managed to keep her ministry active during her travels, Stella explained that her gift is God-given and ever-present.
“Ministry is a calling. I can say God used ministration to create me. It’s not something I went to learn or something I force myself to do.
Even if I stand up without praying and you hand me the microphone, I can still sing.
It is the grace of God that has kept me,” she said.
Stella revealed that during her time away, she felt led to take a long break in order to reorganise her life and settle certain things.
“When I travelled, I had a purpose—to put things in place. So I decided to give myself a long break.
But now, I feel the break time is over,” she added.
The celebrated gospel singer also disclosed that she has recorded many new songs and is preparing to re-engage fully in her ministry.
With digital platforms now offering limitless opportunities, she believes timing is no longer a barrier.
“I have a lot of songs recorded. And since the internet is there, there is nothing like ‘late’. I’m ready to return,” she said.
Listeners of Journey to Heaven welcomed her announcement, marking her return as a major boost to Ghana’s gospel music scene.
