Family dismisses injunction claims over celebration of life for Daddy Lumba
The family of Ghanaian highlife legend, Daddy Lumba, has firmly denied rumours suggesting that his upcoming Celebration of Life event has been halted by a court injunction.
In a press statement dated February 15, 2026, and issued by the Family Press Secretary on behalf of Ms. Ernestina Fosuh, the elder sister of the late musician, the family addressed what they described as painful and false claims circulating on social media.
According to the statement, some individuals, including social media commentators and comedians, have been spreading reports that the planned event in Accra had been stopped due to a possible injunction.
However, the family has clarified that these reports are completely untrue.
“We wish to state clearly and unequivocally that this is false.
There is no injunction stopping the event,” the statement emphasised.
The family further assured the public that the Celebration of Life for the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, will proceed as scheduled.
