Family sets August 30 for one-week observation of late Daddy Lumba

The family of legendary Ghanaian highlife musician, Daddy Lumba, has officially announced that the one-week observation of the late icon will take place on Friday, August 30, 2025, in Accra.

The ceremony is expected to bring together family members, friends, colleagues from the music industry, and scores of fans to honour the memory of the beloved artist, whose real name was Charles Kwadwo Fosu.

Details regarding the venue and programme line-up for the event will be communicated in the coming days. However, the family has indicated that the gathering will reflect the life and legacy of Daddy Lumba, whose music spanned decades and touched the hearts of millions both in Ghana and beyond.
