The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has commenced a three-day management retreat in Kumasi aimed at realigning its operational strategies under the Authority’s ambitious ' Resetting Agenda'.
The high-level retreat, which is taking place at the Golden Bean Hotel, brings together regional directors of the GTA and key stakeholders from across the country.
The initiative seeks to address pressing challenges within the tourism sector while developing targeted solutions to boost local tourism and unlock the full potential of Ghana’s ecotourism assets.
Chief Executive Officer of the GTA, Maame Efua Houadjeto, expressed her honour in participating in the crucial engagement.
She emphasised the Authority’s renewed commitment to repositioning Ghana’s tourism industry through collaboration and innovative leadership.
“This retreat marks a bold step in our collective journey to revitalise the sector.
Our discussions will focus on practical solutions that will enhance domestic tourism and bring renewed energy to our unique ecotourism sites,” she noted.
Participants will explore policy improvements, investment opportunities, and private-sector partnerships essential for transforming Ghana into a top-tier tourism destination.
The retreat is expected to conclude with the adoption of key strategic resolutions that will guide the Authority’s activities in the coming months, positioning Ghana’s tourism sector for sustainable growth and global competitiveness.
