It’s needless competing with KiDi, Sarkodie, Medikal – Coded to spent forces
Coded, a member of hiplife group 4X4 has entreated his colleagues who are now spent forces not to compete with contemporary musicians.
He wondered why such artistes would compete with the likes of Sarkodie, Medikal, KiDi and other reigning artistes.
He said it is pointless for his colleagues who are less relevant in the industry now to attempt to be at par with those trending now.
Coded indicated that no musician can stay on top of the music scene forever, and advised his colleagues to allow the young ones to enjoy the fame they enjoyed in the past.
Speaking with Kwaku Manu on his ‘Aggressive Interviews Series’ , Coded said: “I don’t see the reason why an old musician will try and compete with the young ones when they have enjoyed their time in the past. A musician must know that they cannot stay on top forever. For instance, why would 4X4 try and compete with the likes of Medikal, KiDi or Sarkodie when we have enjoyed our time in the past. I see this as troubling your mind when you know the fans you had before may not be interested in what you do now”.
