James Gardiner: Actor clarifies he’s the Deputy Executive Secretary at National Film Authority

Actor James Gardiner has been appointed by President John Dramani Mahama as the Deputy Executive Secretary of National Film Authority (NFA).
In a conversation with Graphic Showbiz, Gardiner remarked about his appointment, saying he was "willing and ready to listen to concerns and how best we can work together to lift the industry [to] right where it should be.
“Just for clarity, I'm serving as the deputy and not main executive secretary," he, also, revealed.
With a new substantive executive secretary unnamed, actress Juliet Yaa Asantewaa Asante is the known head of the authority.
Under the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Arts & Culture, the NFA is mandated to enforce the legal framework for the production, regulation, nurturing and development of the local film industry, ensuring a conducive environment for the local production, distribution, exhibition and marketing of Ghanaian films.
