Daddy Lumba’s family calls on Presidency ahead of funeral rites

The Parkoso Ekoɔna Ebusua, together with the Fosu family of the late music legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has paid a courtesy call on the Office of the Chief of Staff at the Presidency.
The visit was to officially announce the passing of the celebrated highlife icon and to brief the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, on preliminary arrangements for his final funeral rites.
The family disclosed that a one-week observation will be held on 30th August 2025 at the University of Ghana Stadium in honour of the music legend.
On behalf of President John Dramani Mahama and the Presidency, the Chief of Staff expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and lauded Daddy Lumba’s immense contribution to Ghana’s music industry and cultural heritage.
According to the family, further engagements with government and stakeholders will take place in the coming days as plans progress to celebrate the life and enduring legacy of one of Ghana’s greatest musical icons.
