Kuami Eugene: Singer announces self-named record label, first single 'Belinda' after exiting Lynx

Singer-songwriter and record producer Kuami Eugene has announced his first single after exiting Lynx Entertainment.
On the cover art, shared on the musician's X, Tuesday, September 10, 2024, it was indicated the song, Belinda, would be released via Rock Star Records and Clear Road Music Group.
He, also, shared a snippet of the song on YouTube on Wednesday, indicating it would come out on Friday.
Rock Star, for years, has been Kuami Eugene's self-proclaimed appellation and the name he works under as a highly-sought-after record producer and songwriter. It is also the name of his debut 13-track album from 2018.
In August 2024, after news broke the multiple award-winning Highlife artiste had exited the Richie Mensah-founded-and-led Lynx Entertainment record company, classfmonline.com reached out to a Lynx source who reliably noted Eugene had indeed left about "two or three months ago".
Eugene was originally signed to Lynx after famously participating in the 2016 MTN Hitmaker reality TV show.
Angela, named after Richie Mensah's sister, initially produced by Kuami Eugene and reproduced by the legendary Killbeatz, established Kuami Eugene's name as a new music star in 2018.
In November 2022, Lynx confirmed their 2020 Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year had been signed by US-based Empire in a "strategic partnership agreement". The song Single was Kuami Eugene's first after joining Empire Africa.

When Eugene Kwame Marfo, alias Kuami Eugene, mourned his father's passing on X, July 23, 2023, he shared a picture of his father leading a band. The singer has, also, been vocal about starting his first home studio in his mother's kitchen at age 17.
Love & Chaos, October 12, 2023, was Kuami Eugene's last album on Lynx. The 13-track tape has hits such as Monica, Single, Fate, and Yolo.
Becoming a music executive and a record label founder is a bold step taken by Kuami Eugene. Maintaining his fame and seeing much more success after exiting Lynx would make for a legend's story, also, demonstrating the 27-year-old's business acumen, and ability to break the so called Lynx jinx.
