Moliy’s “Shake It to the Max” makes waves on UK charts amid fierce competition
Ghanaian-American singer and songwriter Moliy Ama Montgomery, known professionally as Moliy, is once again capturing international attention with her latest hit single, “Shake It to the Max (Fly).
” The high-energy track, produced in collaboration with Jamaican-American producer Silent Addy, features dancehall heavyweights Skillibeng and Shenseea.
Released in 2024, the song quickly gained viral traction on TikTok, helping it soar to the No. 1 spot on the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart and peaking at No. 13 on the UK Singles Chart.
It marks Moliy’s second major chart success following her breakout 2021 hit “Sad Girlz Luv Money” with Amaarae and Kali Uchis, which debuted at No. 80 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and climbed to No. 29 in the UK.

Her debut EP Wondergirl, released in 2020, earned airplay in Ghana and across countries like Nigeria, The Gambia, and Kenya.

As the buzz around “Shake It to the Max” grows, fans and industry watchers alike are keeping an eye on Moliy’s rising star, as she cements her place among Africa’s leading female artists.
