Nana Lace: Entertainer advocates recreational use of cannabis, narrates police making him walk despite possession

Ablekuman Nana Lace has confessed he needs to check "taking alcohol".
"As I sit here, I've not taken anything but I will drink once I leave," he told Nana Romeo on Okay FM.
He further revealed he had "paused" smoking "a little," proceeding on a "vacation"
He said he had a "guilty conscience" anytime he smoked and so alcohol was "okay" for him.
Of the two, he said he would love to cease drinking completely.
"The smoke is natural. God created it. It has no chemical.
"Some say smoking it is bad but our former president [even] legalised its cultivation [for commercial purposes]. So, when you take a good look at it, it has a good side to it," he said.
Romeo reminded him of random police searches.
The Trade Fair resident said he had been searched multiple times by police, and remembered a time he was stopped by police.
"I had been on stage and took a drive when I was stopped. But at the end of the day, I made them know I was a musician. I made them go on YouTube to search. Later when a young police man joined us, he tesitified he knew me. That made them ask me to perform for them to proove I was really a musician [despite being in possession of cannabis]. They put me in a beautiful mood [because] I was on my way to go perform. So, I gave them a freestyle. This was in 2001, thereabouts. At the end of the day, they let me go," he narrated.
According to him, the second time was at the beach.
"We had finished [taking it] but the scent was still on us. There was a spray [to conceal it] but the weed scent is hard, and easy to tell. The police have time and patience to give you a proper sniff. I told them I had downed water that had been treated with smoke [as some like it]. The laughed at that. They made me wire [them] something - about GHS300. I couldn't give them everything I had," he soberly recalled.
In conclusion, Nana Lace wondered why cultivation was permitted for cannabis, alias weed, but recreational use was prohibited when "it has a good side".
