A/R: 10 dead, 30 critical after mine cave-in at Manso Tontokrom; Several others trapped
Ten illegal miners have been confirmed dead following a mine cave-in at Manso Tontokrom in the Ashanti Region.
Thirty others are in critical condition after the collapse, while an undisclosed number of miners are still believed to be trapped beneath the rubble as rescue operations continue.
The injured victims have been admitted to Hwidiem Hospital for treatment.
Authorities have yet to identify the victims or provide further details regarding the cause of the collapse or the total number of miners involved.
