DVLA CEO inspects site for new office in Ada East to expand access to Licensing Services

In a significant step toward expanding access to vehicle and driver licensing services, the Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Julius Neequaye, has led a delegation of senior management officials to inspect a new office space earmarked for DVLA operations in the Ada East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
The inspection was conducted in collaboration with the Municipal Chief Executive, Kenneth Ocansey, who briefed the visiting team on the progress of work at the facility.
The upcoming office is part of DVLA’s broader plan to decentralise its services and bring essential operations closer to the public.
Also playing a key role in the establishment of the new office is the Member of Parliament for Ada East, Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, who has been actively supporting the initiative.
Her involvement underscores the strong collaboration between local authorities and national agencies in improving service delivery.
The new DVLA office is expected to ease the burden on residents in Ada and surrounding communities by providing easier access to services such as vehicle registration, driver testing, and license issuance.
Speaking during the visit, Mr. Neequaye reiterated DVLA’s commitment to improving road safety and customer service.
“This office aligns with our vision to decentralise operations and ensure that licensing services are more accessible, convenient, and efficient for all Ghanaians,” he said.
Once operational, the Ada East office will contribute to DVLA’s mandate of promoting road safety, streamlining vehicle registration, and ensuring that only qualified individuals are licensed to drive
