Drink responsibly to avoid road crashes-Accra Brewery to commercial drivers

Ghanaians have been urged to drink alcoholic beverages responsibly to avoid the associated risks, particularly road crashes.
The issue is prevalent among commercial drivers who drink and drive, leading to numerous accidents.
In the first quarter of this year, the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) reported 3,405 road crashes, resulting in 609 fatalities.
The NRSA attributed these incidents to over-speeding and irresponsible alcohol consumption.
Mr Solomon Ayiah, Head of Legal and Corporate Affairs at Accra Brewery Limited, emphasized the importance of responsible drinking at the launch of the re-labelled Eagle Extra Stout in Kumasi.
He underscored the company's commitment to promoting responsible alcohol consumption, especially among individuals under 18.
Miss Vanessa Kavi, the Marketing Lead of Accra Brewery Limited, also spoke at the event, reinforcing the company's message on responsible drinking.
