Forbes Africa features NHIA CEO in latest edition

Forbes Africa has unveiled its latest edition, spotlighting Dr. Victor Asare Bampoe, Chief Executive of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), in an exclusive interview that explores Ghana’s ongoing health sector reforms.
The official presentation took place last Friday at the NHIA Head Office in Accra, where Dr. Bampoe shared his perspectives on the government’s ambitious vision to transform healthcare delivery.
He emphasised reforms designed to strengthen efficiency, improve transparency, and expand accessibility within Ghana’s health system.
According to Dr. Bampoe, these reforms are central to ensuring that the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) remains sustainable and responsive to the needs of citizens, while also aligning with broader national development goals.
The Forbes Africa feature is seen as a recognition of Ghana’s efforts to build a more resilient health sector, and it highlights the growing regional and global interest in the country’s approach to healthcare financing and management.
