UN votes today on Israeli-Palestinian conflict
Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced that Ghana joined a 142-nation coalition at the United Nations on Saturday to support a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The resolution reaffirms global backing for the Two-State Solution as the only viable path toward lasting peace in the region.
Mr. Ablakwa emphasised Ghana’s long-standing commitment to peace and diplomacy, noting the country’s historic role as a founding member of the Non-Aligned Movement in 1961 and its consistent contributions to United Nations peacekeeping operations since 1960.
“Ghana will remain a credible global voice for peace, as we have always demonstrated,” the minister stated.
