Lower Dixcove chief kidnapped over boundary dispute with Upper Dixcove

The chief is said to have been abducted by aides of the rival Upper Dixcove chief in relation to a dispute over boundaries.
The captors are said to have forcibly entered Nana Agyeman's palace by breaking the main gate and holding him hostage.
The abductors were also said to have damaged some items at the palace and disrupted electricity supply to the community by destroying the transformer.
This is said to have resulted in a total blackout in the area, enabling them to transport the chief to the palace of the Upper Dixcove chief.
A police rescue team led by the Western Regional Police Commander, Mr R. Dedjoe managed to take custody of the abducted Paramount Chief later.
Nana Kwesi Agyeman IX is currently on admission at the Western Regional Hospital in Sekondi.
