Pru East MP reshapes Brekentey–Driver Akura feeder road to ease transport for communities
The Brekentey–Driver Akura feeder road, a vital link between several communities and Yeji in the Pru East Constituency, has undergone major reshaping works under the sponsorship of Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Kwaku Boam.
The MP said the intervention was necessary because the road, which serves as a key access route for residents, had been neglected for many years.
“With the deteriorating condition of the main road, many communities increasingly relied on this feeder road as an alternative,” Boam stated.
“During the rainy season, however, it often became nearly impassable, making it difficult for people, goods, and essential services to move freely.”
According to the Pru East legislator, the successful reshaping marks another step in his commitment to improving road infrastructure across the constituency.
He added that the project will enhance accessibility, ease transportation, support economic activities, and provide lasting relief to the many communities that depend on the route daily.
The Brekentey–Driver Akura road connects several farming and trading communities to Yeji, the district capital, and is expected to improve the movement of farm produce and basic services, especially during the rainy season.
