YEA, Islamic Education Unit partners to recruit 3,000 Arabic teachers

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA), under the leadership of CEO Malik Basintale, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Islamic Education Unit to implement the Arabic Teachers Module, a programme set to recruit 3,000 Arabic teachers nationwide.
The signing ceremony, which was attended by representatives of the National Chief Imam and leaders of various Islamic sects, was described as a historic milestone in advancing job creation, cultural preservation, and quality Islamic education in Ghana.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Basintale said the initiative forms part of YEA’s broader commitment to providing inclusive employment opportunities across all communities while strengthening Ghana’s educational and cultural fabric.
The new module is expected to enhance Arabic instruction in schools, create sustainable livelihoods for teachers, and contribute to national development through education and youth empowerment
