Two suspects nabbed in connection with the killing of the Baamuhene of Enchi Kramokrom, Nana Ndoli Panin III, have appeared before the Adjabeng Court.
The suspects, Kwame Ofori Ogyaba and Nana Kwame Kwakye, were arrested on Sunday, 4 October 2020.
One was a friend and the other a spiritual father to the deceased chief, who was also the Finance Officer of Accra-based Hot FM.
A statement issued by the Kaneshie police command indicated that Nana Ndoli Panin III was killed in a hotel at Kaneshie while he went to meet his spiritual father Nana Kwame Kwakye.
His body was found in a pool of blood on Friday.
The police, upon further investigations into the murder, visited Amasaman and Asuboi where the two suspects were arrested and detained.
A Toyota RAV 4 vehicle suspected to be that of the deceased was retrieved from the Takoradi lorry station and brought to the police station.
Confirming the incident to Accra100.5FM’s mid-day news, the spokesperson for Hot FM, Pastor Stephen Kwasi Duah, told Odiasempa Kwame that they are working with the police on the matter, adding that since the deceased was a chief, there are things he cannot say in public about the murder.
He said the family of the deceased chief has also elected two representatives to come to Accra and follow up on the matter.
