Samuel Udoetuk-Wills, a Nigerian, has been in police custody for months for the kidnapping of the three girls in Takoradi.
Briefing journalists in Parliament on Tuesday, 29 January 2019, the Minister for the Interior, Mr Ambrose Dery, disclosed that: “From the beginning of the investigation, there was a time when the suspect wasn’t talking, we now have a second suspect as well and we are doing all we can within the law to make sure we get the information”.
Asked by journalists for the identity of the second suspect, Mr Dery said: "You are talking about kidnapping, and I say we’ve picked a second suspect and the investigation is ongoing”.
Mr Dery assured the public that “the police is doing everything they can in picking leads and following leads and I think that we are making a lot of progress”.
He, however, declined to provide details about the identity of the second suspect but indicated that the police was doing everything possible to solve the case.
