Allied Health Professions Council withdraws accreditation of three Programmes at Ghana Christian University

The Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) has announced the withdrawal of accreditation for three allied health programmes at Ghana Christian University, effective immediately.
In a letter dated 02/02/2026 addressed to the university’s president, the AHPC Registrar, Prof. Shirazu Issahaku, stated that an investigation revealed breaches of the council’s requirements, including non-compliance with admission criteria, improper student placement, and deviations from approved regulatory guidelines.
The affected programmes are Bachelor of Public Health (Health Promotion), Bachelor of Public Health (Disease Control), BSc. Health Information and Records Management
The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) and mentoring institutions have been informed of the decision.
