Basic schools to resume Jan 18

All public basic schools will on Monday, 18 January 2022, begin the new academic year, the Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced.
Kindergarten to junior high school will begin their first semester from Monday, 18 January to Thursday, 9 June 2022.
The second semester is expected to begin from Tuesday, 26 July 2022 to Friday, 16 December 2022.
The second-semester mid-semester break will also begin from Friday, 30 September to Monday, 10 October 2022.
Senior high school students in forms 1 and 2 who are currently in school writing their second-semester examinations will vacate on Friday, 28 January and return to school on Monday, 7 February 2022 for the new academic year.
Prospective form 1 students currently awaiting their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results will, however, begin the first semester of the 2022 academic year on Monday, 4 April.
