Gov’t committed to enhancing basic school education – Adutwum

The Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has reiterated government's dedication to improving basic school education, with emphasis on infrastructure and the integration of auxiliary equipment to create an optimal learning environment.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of Education Week in Accra on Monday, 20 November 2023, the Minister outlined government's commitment to significant investments across all aspects of education.
Dr. Adutwum indicated that government aims to equip students for global competitiveness in various fields through substantial investments in education.
The Education Week opening ceremony, themed “Education Delivery for National Transformation: A Case Study of STEM,” sought to celebrate and assess government's accomplishments in the education sector.
The event served as a platform to showcase the strides made in education and discuss strategies for further improvement.
Speaking on behalf of the Vice-President, Minister for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, reiterated government’s commitment to investing in education.
He emphasised aligning education with industry needs to ensure that students are well-prepared and industry-ready.
