Gov’t pays school feeding caterers 1Q arrears
The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection has announced the payment of the first-quarter arrears to School Feeding Caterers across all sixteen regions.
According to the Ghana School Feeding Programme secretariat, the first quarter of the 2023/2024 academic year, which started on October 3, 2023, included a total of 58 cooking days. However, four days were deducted from the total, as caterers were instructed to use October 3 to 6, 2023, for cleaning their kitchen environments.
Consequently, the official cooking days commenced on October 9, 2023.
This information was disclosed in a statement dated July 1, 2024, signed by the head of Public Relations, Siiba Alfa.
