N/R: Today for Tomorrow Fund opens classroom blocks to boost education in Tamale

The Today for Tomorrow Fund (TFT) has inaugurated two new classroom blocks at Sakasaka in the Tamale Metropolis, marking a significant step in efforts to improve educational infrastructure in Ghana’s Northern Region.
The project includes a four-classroom block with an office for Sakasaka Junior High School and a three-classroom block for the Sakasaka Kindergarten School.
The initiative aims to address pressing infrastructural challenges faced by the schools, including the destruction of the Sakasaka JHS block by fire several years ago and the deterioration of the KG block at Sakasaka M/A Primary School ‘D’, which had become unsafe for use.
The opening ceremony brought together key stakeholders, including the Director of the Regional Ghana Education Service, TFT Directors Yusif Ya-Adzagey and Sephania Koutanyi, the Member of Parliament for Sunyani East, Seid Mubarak, and the MCE of Tamale, Alhaji Abubakari Adam Takoro.
In their remarks, the TFT Directors expressed gratitude to the various partners and skilled artisans whose dedication made the project possible.
They also acknowledged the critical support from Moolre Limited and Millennial Assets and Properties Ltd, whose financial contributions were instrumental in delivering the project.
Speaking at the event, Director of TFT Sephania Koutanyi noted, “This initiative is more than just bricks and mortar—it symbolises hope, opportunity, and a shared commitment to education.
By creating conducive learning environments, we aim to inspire both students and teachers to achieve their fullest potential.”
MP Seid Mubarak urged parents and teachers to work together to support the schools, emphasising that their active involvement is crucial in ensuring students receive quality education and grow into responsible future leaders.
The MCE of Tamale, Alhaji Abubakari Adam Takoro, pledged the Assembly’s continued support to maintain the newly built facilities, adding that such investments in education must be protected for future generations.
The Today for Tomorrow Fund reaffirmed its dedication to transforming communities through education, announcing plans to construct three ICT centres in the Volta and Bono regions as part of its next phase of projects.
This latest intervention by TFT highlights the transformative power of public-private partnerships in addressing educational needs and empowering young learners across Ghana.
