The University of Ghana (UG) has awarded degrees to 15,288 students, including 153 PhD holders, at its February 2026 congregation held in Accra.

The graduates comprise 4,197 master's students, 10,543 undergraduates, and 395 diploma students.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo highlighted the university's strategic priorities, including transformative student experience, impactful research, and sustainable resource mobilisation.

She acknowledged challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, but emphasised UG's commitment to expansion and quality education.

Prof. Amfo urged graduates to uphold excellence, truth, and integrity, saying, "I wish you every success in your future endeavours."

The congregation ceremonies recognised students from four colleges: Basic and Applied Sciences, Education, Health Sciences, and Humanities.
