V/R: Sonrise Christian High School partners EcoFlow Solutions to lead 'green school' revolution in Ho
Sonrise Christian High School has officially launched a landmark partnership with EcoFlow Solutions, a youth-led environmental organisation, to transform waste management and student leadership on campus.
The launch featured the installation of specialised waste segregation bins and the inauguration of the EcoFlow Green Team, a select group of student leaders tasked with overseeing the school’s new segregation of waste especially plastics.
Unlike traditional waste programmes, the EcoFlow initiative focuses on behavioural change, teaching students to segregate plastic waste at the source to ensure a cleaner, healthier learning environment.

During the presentation, EcoFlow leadership emphasised that the project is about more than just bins.
"We are here to build a new mindset," the team stated.
"By empowering students to take charge of waste segregation, we are developing leadership skills that will follow them long after they graduate," the team added.

Through this collaboration, Sonrise becomes a pioneer in Ho, Volta Region, for environmental sustainability, setting a standard for other educational institutions in the region.
The EcoFlow programme is expected to significantly reduce plastic litter on campus while providing students with practical environmental education and leadership training.
