Vice President calls for collective effort to strengthen education system

Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has underscored the need for collaboration among all stakeholders in the education sector, stressing that quality education is a shared responsibility.
Speaking at a recent engagement with agencies under the Ministry of Education, the Vice President emphasised that directors, agencies, teachers, and parents must work hand in hand to uphold discipline and ensure that schools remain safe spaces for learning, open debate, and the nurturing of critical minds.
She noted that indiscipline in schools remains a concern and urged collective action to address it.
“Education is a collective responsibility.
We must all do our part to ensure that our schools are not only centres of academic excellence but also of character formation,” she said.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang further called on agencies within the Ministry to strengthen cooperation and share expertise in order to enhance the delivery of educational services nationwide.
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, the Vice President assured that measures are being put in place to create an enabling environment where students can reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s socio-economic development.
