Apemanyim weighbridge opened

Western Regional Minister Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, on Tuesday, 26 July 2022, joined the Minister responsible for Lands and Natural Resources, Mr Samuel Abu Jinapor, to open the constructed weighbridge at Apemanyim in the Ahanta West Municipality.
The weighbridge is to ensure proper measurement of the country’s manganese and bauxite transported through the roads to the seaport for export.
This is a control mechanism to aid the government to ascertain the true quantities of natural resources being transported for export.
In agreement with the sector minister, the Regional Minister reiterated the government's commitment to safeguarding the integrity of the weighing system to protect the revenue generated from the venture.
Present at the opening was the Deputy Lands and Natural Resources Minister responsible for Mining, George Mireku Duker, Chiefs and equally important sector appointees.
