On the people’s side, chiefs, religious leaders, youth leaders and other opinion leaders were fully represented.
The heads of the various departments took turns to educate the people on their job specifications as part of a sensitisation exercise.
The presiding member elaborated on how the programme was created to enable the Assembly and the people to get closer through their representation and also to know their concerns.
The participants also took turns to ask questions which were answered by the various heads of the Assembly. According to the presiding member, the various establishments of the assembly exist based on the law, including the Public Complaints Unit, which ensures everyone is treated fairly.
He appealed to people, especially those who think they have nobody to help them as far as the assembly’s programmes are concerned, to go to the Public Complaints Unit for their concerns to be addressed. He said programmes like this will be continued until everybody is brought closer to the assembly.
