C/R: Akufo-Addo's performance on roads in Twifo Atti-Morkwa unprecedented – DCE

The District Chief Executive Officer (DCE) for Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Assembly in the Central Region, Mr Robert Agyemang Nyantakyi has refuted claims that roads in the district have been abandoned by the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government.
On April 5, 2023, it was reported on classfmonline.com that the former Member of Parliament (MP) for Twifo Atti-Morkwa Constituency, Dr Samuel Atto Amoah, had stated that since former President Mahama exited office in 2016, all the roads in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa district have been abandoned by President Akufo-Addo.
Following this claim by the former MP, the DCE of Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Assembly, Robert Agyemang Nyantakyi, has come out strongly to explain that the statement by the former MP was blatantly untrue and unfortunate.
Setting the record straight, Mr Nyantakyi disclosed that, since 1992, it is NDC MPs who have always been in Parliament except from 2016 to 2020 when the NPP won the seat for the first time.
He stressed that all the roads in the district were awarded to contractors by the Akufo-Addo government while describing the performance of the government in terms of the road networks in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa district as historically unprecedented.
Mr Robert Agyemang Nyantakyi also hinted that all the claims by the former MP were based on the mere fact that he is aspiring to become a Parliamentary Candidate for NDC for the 2024 elections.
“So he only wants to be heard and probably win the favour of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegates in their upcoming parliamentary primaries,” he added.
