CJ hands over duties to Justice Baffoe-Bonnie during temporary absence
Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo has temporarily handed over her duties to the most senior Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie.
This comes on the back of Justice Torkornoo’s trip outside the country.
In a letter confirming her absence, Chief Justice Torkornoo indicated that: “I shall be away from the jurisdiction from Monday, 4 November to Thursday, November 7, 2024.”
Justice Torkornoo also announced that Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, the most senior Justice on the bench, would act as Chief Justice in her absence.
“The most senior Justice of the Supreme Court, His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, will act,” the letter confirmed.
