Class 91.3FM, Accra 100.5 FM & No.1 105.3 FM back on air after fire scare

The management of the Class Media Group (CMG) is pleased to inform our cherished listeners, advertisers, partners and the general public that three of our radio stations – Class 91.3 FM, Accra 100.5 FM, and the nation’s Christian-focused No.1 105.3 FM – are back on air after a fire scare on Friday, January 19, 2024, led to their precautionary closure.
The three stations were temporarily closed in the late hours of Friday after fire broke out at their Labone base in Accra.
Officers of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), who responded to a distress, quickly put the fire out, resulting in no injury and limited damage to property.
Afterwards, the management, in consultation with officers of the GNFS, took the stations off air to allow for a fire safety audit.
We are happy to announce that the audit has been completed and that the GNFS has authorised that normal business could resume.
Consequently, your favourite stations, Class 91.3 FM, Accra 100.5 FM, and No.1 105.3 FM, have been back on air since Saturday morning, broadcasting from their usual channels.
The management of CMG is grateful to the GNFS for the swift response and their high professionalism, which led to the quick and successful containment of the fire. We also express our heartfelt apologies to all our clients, listeners, advertisers, partners, and the general public for any inconvenience caused.
We further assure you of our continued improvement in our programming and service delivery in our commitment to meeting and exceeding your expectations.
