Coalition of GaDangme threatens to lock up Akufo-Addo's residence over McDan Aviation dispute

The Coalition of GaDangme, a pressure group, has issued a stern warning to outgoing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, threatening to lock up his residence if he fails to unfreeze the operations of McDan Aviation, a company owned by prominent businessman Daniel McCauley, popularly known as McDan.
McDan Aviation recently had its operations halted by authorities at Kotoka International Airport (KIA), allegedly due to defaults by the company.
The Coalition of GaDangme has condemned the closure, describing it as a deliberate move orchestrated by what they term the "Akyem Mafias," purportedly led by President Akufo-Addo, to pave the way for his family members to take control of KIA.
In a statement delivered by Jonathan Akron, the Secretary of the Coalition, the group alleged that the closure was part of a long-planned strategy outlined in what they referred to as the "Agyapadie book," aimed at sabotaging McDan’s business interests.
Akron warned that the Coalition is giving the president to resolve the issue.
Should the situation remain unchanged, the group plans to wait until the inauguration of the new president before taking drastic action, including locking up President Akufo-Addo's residence.
He further added that beyond this measure, the group would take steps to make life uncomfortable for what they described as the "Akyem Mafias" on Ga land.
The Coalition insists that their actions are motivated by a desire to protect the interests of the GaDangme people and ensure fairness in the business environment. T
hey have called on relevant authorities to intervene swiftly to resolve the matter and prevent any potential escalation of tensions.
