Fire destroys shops in Koforidua

Fire has gutted some shops in Koforidua, capital of the Eastern Region.
It destroyed property worth millions of cedis.
Among the destroyed shops is a popular one called 'Obaa Yaa', which is well-known for the sale of all kinds of kids' clothing.
The incident happened on the morning of Tuesday, 15 December 2020.
The cause of the fire is not immediately known.
Fire personnel, after distress calls, reported to the scene to help douse the inferno.
The PRO of the Eastern Regional Fire Service, A.D.O Kwamena Beadio, said investigations have begun into the cause of the fire.
