Interior Minister attends ECOWAS Security Council session in Abuja
Ghana’s Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak, has participated in the 55th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Mediation and Security Council at the Ministerial level, held in Abuja, Nigeria.
The meeting brought together Ministers responsible for foreign affairs, Defence, and security from across ECOWAS Member States to discuss key issues affecting peace, security, and political stability in the sub-region.
Deliberations at the session focused on strengthening cooperation, improving conflict-prevention mechanisms, and adopting sustainable strategies to address emerging security challenges.
The Council reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding regional stability and deepening collaboration among member countries in the fight against threats to peace and democratic governance.
