As part of the government’s peace-building efforts, the President has dispatched a high-level delegation led by the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohamed-Mubarak, to engage the Yagbonwura and other key stakeholders in the affected area.
Security in Sawla-Bole has also been reinforced with the deployment of additional police and military personnel to maintain order.
This was contained in a statement by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP, Spokesperson to the President
President Mahama has urged all parties to support the initiatives underway, emphasising that lasting peace can only be achieved through dialogue, mutual understanding, and respect for the rule of law.
