NIA begins premium services in Ashanti, Eastern, Western regions today

The three new premium centres will be operated alongside those in Accra

The National Identification Authority (NIA) has extended its premium services for the Ghana Card registration exercise to three other regional offices, beginning today.

“Effective Monday, 19 December 2022, the NIA will offer premium registration services at its Ashanti, Eastern and Western Regional offices,” the Authority said in a public notice.

The premium registration centres will offer free-based registration services including: “First-time registration and issuance of Ghana Card – GHS 280, Replacement of lost, missing or damaged cards GHS110, Update of personal record that requires the printing of a new card – GHS110.”

The NIA also indicated a list of update services that attract a fee including: “Change or correction of applicant’s name, change or correction of the order of applicant’s name, correction or addition of applicant’s previous name or maiden name. 

“Correction of applicant’s date of birth; Change or correction of applicant’s nationality; Correction of applicant’s gender and Change or correction of applicant’s height.”

The three new premium centres will be operated alongside those in Accra.
