NPP's John Boadu lands new job
President Akufo-Addo has appointed John Boadu, the former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as the acting Director-General of the State Interests and Governance Authority (SIGA).
The announcement was made in a letter signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Nana Asante Bediatuo.
According to the letter, the appointment is made in accordance with Section 17 (2) of the State Interests and Governance Authority Act, 2019 (990).
The letter further explains that John Boadu's appointment is provisional, pending the receipt of the constitutionally required advice from the governing board of the Authority, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
John Boadu takes over the position from Edward Boateng, former Ghana ambassador to China.![]()
