Okwahu Media Professionals mourn late Dr. Omane Boamah

The Okwahu Media Professionals have expressed profound sorrow over the death of Defence Minister, Hon. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, who perished in the August 6, 2025, helicopter crash while serving the nation.
In a condolence statement, the group described Dr. Omane Boamah as a patriot whose life embodied selfless service, unwavering commitment, and dedication to Ghana’s peace, stability, and security.
They praised his distinguished leadership, integrity, and openness in dealing with the media, noting that his respectful and clear communication style endeared him to journalists and the wider public alike.
“His passing is not only a monumental loss to his family, but also to the nation he so faithfully served,” the statement read, adding that the group recalls with pride the occasions when Dr. Omane Boamah engaged with the media with sincerity and respect.
The Okwahu Media Professionals expressed solidarity with his family, friends, and colleagues, and prayed for God’s comfort to uphold them during this period of grief.
Dr. Omane Boamah was among eight prominent personalities who lost their lives in the crash in the Ashanti Region, a tragedy that has drawn nationwide mourning.
